The Arizona Cardinals were back on the practice field in Tempe for their fifth practice of OTAs on Wednesday. On Wednesday, media members were able to see who was on the field.

OTAs are still voluntary, but it is noteworthy to see who is not in attendance. The most significant absence of all the voluntary offseason program has been quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who seeks a new contract.

On Wednesday, who was not in attendance?

  • QB Jacoby Brissett
  • OLB Josh Sweat
  • OT Paris Johnson
  • WR Reggie Virgil
  • CB Garrett Williams
  • DL Walter Nolen
  • DL Roy Lopez
  • DL Andrew Billings

These players were on the side working or in street clothes:

  • RB James Conner
  • RB Trey Benson
  • CB Star Thomas
  • DL L.J. Collier
  • TE Tip Reiman
  • LB Karson Sharar

Head coach Mike LaFleur said he wasn't concerned about any of the absences, which is something he has to say because it is the voluntary part of the offseason. He said he knew about all the absences. Johnson, a new player gone, had something planned for today. LaFleur didn't say who, but one player is missing because of a baby being born.

Williams and Nolen are coming off season-ending injuries.
