The Arizona Cardinals are in their second week of OTAs. We are months away from final roster cutdowns, but we can project what the roster might look like, based on what we know so far.
Below are my first 53-man roster projections of the offseason.
Quarterback:
All signs point toward three quarterbacks on the roster.
Running back
Trey Benson would need to show value on special teams, so Knight gets the nod here.
Wide receiver
Right now, only five fit on the roster.
Tight end
The Cardinals will use three tight ends a lot, so they will keep four.
Offensive line
We will see how things play out in training camp.
Defensve line:
Stills could be a guy who gets traded. Jonah Williams doesn't make the cut.
Outside linebacker:
No changes from last season.
Inside linebacker
The rookie Sharar replaces Owen Pappoe.
Cornerback
I expecte Garrett Williams to start the year on PUP.
Safety
No more Joey Blount this year.
