The 2026 World Cup continues to bring epic moments to soccer fans across the globe, and Tuesday’s Argentina-Egypt match delivered another impressive showing from Lionel Messi and Co.

Messi’s historic World Cup career isn’t over just yet after the iconic goalscorer helped his side complete an improbable comeback. Argentina needed three goals in the final 10-plus minutes in order to take down an impressive Egypt team.

Messi managed to score his 21st World Cup goal, which further expand his all-time record at the tournament. The Argentina superstar is now two goals ahead of France and Real Madrid goalscorer Kylian Mbappe.

However, both nations showed that the Round of 16 affair is only going to bring out more insane moments for the rest of the tournament. The World Cup has already knocked out tournament favorites like Brazil and Portugal.
