Harry,
What is your opinion on Will Levi's?
Long, long shot. Physically he should be decent. I think he lacks poise and self confidence. The poise issue is similar to Murray. We’ve seen how hard it is to get past.

I think you have to go Bailey or Reese at 3. They will have a much bigger impact than OT at that spot and they are rated higher than any of the OT candidates. You have to pick the best player. There are three or four right tackle candidates that will be available at the top of the second round so I would wait until then before you look at that position. If you want to take a flyer on a QB, I think you wait until late in the third or the early fourth and see if Neussmeir is around.
If your going bpa at 3 then the consesus #1 is Love he may not be the most popular pick but he would bring electricity imediatly with the 1st long run he breaks not saying take him just the offense would be more exciting and the Rt tackles are avaiable in later rounds

The marginal difference between the two of them on grade is not very big. They’re both top five picks. Given that we signed a running back in free agency and brought back Connor there’s no way we’re gonna take Love. The choice seemingly is between Bailey/Reese or the offensive tackle. If those are the options, I’d rather have Bailey.

I believe the Simpson thinking would be they don’t want him starting yet. If he’s the backup, he’s one injury from having to start. His lack of major college experience likely means his best chance is with some development before hitting the field.
they would have to carry three. cant risk exposing him to the PS,..but cant risk starting him before week 12 either.

IF we are thinking 2027, why even mention Simpson. We have two QB's (bridge) and if we want to draft another, wait for a late round project. If we use a 1st or 2nd round pick on Simpson that indicates we hope to get lucky in 26.
If we can get Simpson at 34 without trading up you do it even if the plan is 2027. The more bullets you have the better the chance you hit your target.

If Midwill was shrewd he’d tell Monti to plan for the next 3 years then can him after a bad start and continue tanking. Kinda lets him off the hook a tiny bit.

Ossenfort should have been fired. He thinks that he can copy Bill B's Patriots and outsmart everyone, while he is outsmarting himself. All of our FA signings are low cost (relatively to their highest paid FA peers) and almost all of them are former UDFAs, who made some noise relatively to expectations, but none of them are building blocks. This season is doomed, no matter what he does now. Because of this fact alone he should be sacked.
Even worse, he doesn't realize that, a lot of times, the Patriots didn't do so well, or did cheeks, at draft and the FA. Hmm, what did the Patriots have that saved their bacon all the time? Monti thinks it's cap space.

I don't get where people are thinking Simpson is going to be a top 10 pick. I know QB's are over drafted but taking him in the late teens is over drafting him. Taking him at 3 is pure, fireable offense, stupidness.

He won’t still be there. His combine was very well received.

Questions to ask;
Are the Cards building a war chest for a 2027 push?
How will 2027 free agency compare to 2026?
Has Ossenfort been assured he’ll be here in 2027?
Does Simpson make more sense if you’re targeting 2027?
Could they chance Pryor at RT if they’re preparing a 2027 push?
If they can’t maneuver to get Simpson, do they go RT or BPA?
If you’re looking 2027 could they take a developmental RT in a later round?
Which players should be extended now?
Which Cards will be gone in 2027?

They don't really have a choice. It's a meh draft, there are no good QB options and the FA class is devoid of top talent.

Which is why I would have kept JG for another year instead of dumping Mike into a sub optimal situation.

He's the epitome of the early 2nd round gamble picks teams take on QBs. It's a gamble I hope we don't take.
