This is the most intelligent and enjoyable draft article this year. And it isn't exactly far fetched when you consider what the Eagles did with Foles and Wentz.
Its really not unprecedented I remember several teams that had really backups ie. Foles Hostetler was a backup to Simms heavens wasnt Eli a backup to Warner for a while in NY as a rookie this is just a different way of doing that Please remember a backup is only one big hit away from a starter we should know that all too wellVery succinct article. But Rosen even after the disaster of last year will still fetch a 1st rd. pick just on promise at the least. But the premise of keeping them both at least for another year is a valid one.

The one thing ignored is the human element. Rosen is anything but humble, and I just don't envision him being ok with sticking around if we take Murray. I think there's no way him or his agent don't throw a hissy fit, trash the organization, demand a trade and don't show up to OTAs/camp if the Cards actually try this. And if the Cards draw a hard line, it will be a bad look to players around the league.

How do you know that if Cards draft Murray and keep Rosen that Murray won`t sulk or have a hissy fit? What if he demands a trade? After all when the competition was too stiff he did transfer.
Or goes back to baseball remember he could very well do that kinda like when Joe Namath had a choice between the Cards and the Jets didn't exactly go good for the birds did itHow do you know that if Cards draft Murray and keep Rosen that Murray won`t sulk or have a hissy fit? To me that's actually a bigger risk considering the money (Guaranteed) that those guys make let's see Harper 330 million and Trout 460 kinda makes football look like Bush league salary wise doesnt itOr goes back to baseball remember he could very well do that kinda like when Joe Namath had a choice between the Cards and the Jets didn't exactly go good for the birds did it
Haha except the competition (Kyle Allen) transferred too. Nice try though. Murray could’ve easily transferred from OU after it was clear Mayfield was going to start the following year as well. Remember, Murray sat for two years at OU. (One due to transfer rules, one as Mayfield’s backup)
That's because the Cards wouldn't buy him a car. The Jets did.Or goes back to baseball remember he could very well do that kinda like when Joe Namath had a choice between the Cards and the Jets didn't exactly go good for the birds did it

The ringer is always a good read.
It's a strong case to keep both QBs
My first reaction is this would likely split the team into two factions. This has seldom spurred a good result, see Charley Johnson & Jim Hart. I can’t imagine any team keeping two, young talented QBs.
The rest seems fairly well known theories of drafting. The get many picks or take a QB every 2 years have been out there. Certainly back to back is odd, but this is about the the largest shift in offensive philosophy you could have.
I’m not saying it’s a bad read but it’s mostly drawing together a few schools of thought.
