Arab Cup 2025: Algeria thrashes Bahrain

This Saturday, Algeria made light work of Bahrain on matchday two of the Arab Cup, cruising to a 1-5 victory.

After opening the Arab Cup with a goalless draw against Sudan (0-0), Algeria’s Fennecs were eager to kickstart their campaign against Bahrain. And kickstart it they did, dominating their opponents from the outset. Berkane opened the scoring (1-0) with a brilliant assist from Atal (0-1, 24'), but just three minutes later, Abduljabbar leveled for Bahrain (1-1, 27').

Only three minutes after that, the sensational Adil Boulbina put Algeria back in front, finishing off a superb team move (1-2, 30'). Before the break, Yassine Benzia doubled the advantage from the penalty spot (1-3, 45+7').

After the restart, Redouane Berkane and Adil Boulbina both completed their braces to seal a comprehensive win for Algeria (1-5). With this victory, Algeria temporarily claims the top spot in their group.
