New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart caused a stir last month when he introduced President Donald Trump at a campaign rally for Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) at a community college in New York.

Dart's decision to introduce the president received pushback from some of his teammates, including edge rusher Abdul Carter. Former Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib chimed in on the topic on "The Arena: Gridiron" podcast last week.

"The locker room talks about everything," Talib said. "And you're going to have guys who believe something you don't believe. And you're all going to talk about it and probably turn it into jokes. ... We had, in our locker room, we had my dog Derek Wolfe. He loved Trump.

"He was adamant about it. He [expletive] loved Trump. ... We used to argue with him and play around and laugh and joke, and at the end of the day, we all was at [his] wedding. He [got] married [and] we all up there in Vail at the wedding kicking it like, that's our brother. To this day, we link up, Wolfe, that's my brother.

"He loved Trump. Oh well, it is what it is. That's what you like. In that locker room, everybody got that attitude; it had never distrupt the locker room because that's not what we [were] there for. We're here to win 'chips. It's guys from all different walks of life. We coming together to win the 'chip."

In New York, Cater made it clear that he disagrees with Dart, but he said there's no beef between him and the QB, and they remain "close" with the same team goals. Giants offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor has also said the locker room is "fine."

Wolfe, alongside Talib and his other Broncos teammates, won Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season. Wolfe totaled 299 tackles, 77 quarterback hits, 33 sacks, 15 pass breakups and one interception in eight seasons with Denver.
