(WFRV) – After a four-hour rain delay at the state softball tournament, Appleton North played spoiler with a Division 1 quarterfinal upset over Stevens Point.
The Lightning fell behind early, but erupted for four runs in the third inning and never looked back. Appleton North rolled to a 10-3 victory behind a complete-game seven-inning performance in the circle from Charlotte Radtke.
Appleton North (21-7) advances to the Division 1 semifinals to face #2 Muskego (27-2) Thursday evening at approximately 7 p.m.
