I for one am happy that the Cardinals moved down.We needed an above average (or at least our average) wide receiver and defensive end badly and we got that. Sure Suggs might be a better defensive end, but if we had taken him we may not have gotten a decent wide receiver in the draft.

Also, anyone else think we may be considering a 3-4 defense? Judging by our pickups, another lb and a defensive end that is supposed to excel in a 3-4 system.. Plus our lb core is stronger than our defensive line with speed on the ends such as thompson and fisher. I wouldn't be suprised if they try that scheme out.

Granted, but I told my dad as i left for work this morning that I wanted the Cardinals to trade down. They did, and I think they made a good choice.

They could have had Suggs and there were a ton of WR to be had in the second round and now we have lost our 4th.

I am happy. But we won't know for sure for three years how good the first day of this draft was.

We still got 4 guys. I don't think any of the guys we picked would hav been there in the 4th.

We gambled and the eagles screwed us.

How did the eagles screw us? Sorry, I was out for most of the draft.

Problem with the 3-4 is that we don't have a true NT and Thompson and Fisher are small for OLB's in a 3-4 scheme.

Bryant and Pace would be good fits. Davis could be a DE in this scheme. McKinnon and Hayes on the inside or does Hayes play outside?

Nope, 3-4 isn't viable at this point.
