Did anybody notice Amare trying to play the two man game with Nash but Nash pushed the ball to other options?

It was like Nash was saying "Hey big boy, ease up a bit. I don't want to put a strain on you!".

Didn't watch the game but I won't be surprised if Nash didn't want Amare to go crazy. He probably just wants Amare to shoot from outside which he can!

Supposedly Amare did not play with Nash when they were doing 5 on 5 practices. Nash will have to find out how quick Amare is to avoid making bad lead passes. This is just a timing issue unrelated to Amare's conditioning.

Because of the inside presence that Amare brought, those guys were WIDE open for Nash to pass to. Tough decision for the defense.

It didn't seem to hurt his points per minute either. :D

You could see the Blazers moving toward Amare and leaving their man. Thus Nash went to the open guy. I did notice Nash pulling the ball back out instead of passing it to Amare in the block, but I do think it was the best option for the team right now.

Obviously Amare is a logical way in the offensive end, its basically just give him the the ball and let him beat his man to the rim.

But isnt that the opposite of what the Suns have done this season? This season 10 players are scoring double figures and everyone has an important role in the offense.

Amare is too good to be just a finisher, he will obviously be become the go to guy in most situations. I'm aware of his "point center" remark, basically him getting the ball and kicking it out to open team mates. But doesnt that sacrifice a lot of the talent from the other players?.

I think Duncan, Shaq and KG are the only real dominant stars (well Duncan and Shaq anyways), that sacrifice their own numbers to get everyone involve... I think Amare will need to become like those players, since the Sun's line-up isnt the same as last season, the Suns have 10 players who are talented enough to score double figure a game and contribute. The Suns shouldnt try to become the Jazz of the past or a one-two punch. I think Amare would really need to transcend to that "team" player mode ala just like Duncan and Shaq, for everyone to be happy.

One game is one game. The timing was off, Amare was tentative at times, and it was a new experience for most of the players. When we consider how much trouble that was being predicted in integrating Amare, I was pleased with how it went.

Offense was better with Amare, defence was worse.

I agree. But the defence has been worse since KT went out, period. I don't think people on this board realize the presence he brought to this team defensivly. Thus the myriad trade scenarios with KT as part of the trade. Notice teams are getting more offensive boards with KT out, too! ;)
