He looked so upset on the sideline that it had me fearing the worst, hoping that was just frustration over being forced out at a critical time.

Could it be strained achillies? There was no decernible twist of the ankle or funny tweak.

Just hope he's alright because he's been what he always thought he was this season. Dominant.

Would love to see the stats on him.

He can sit next week for all I care... Hammies and/or ankle sprains are the worst injuries to try to "grind" out and play... Let Bethel take on some more of his duties

SF is a mess right now with Gabbert at QB, Hyde out and V.Davis in Denver. If there were a week to rest guys and get healthy, this is it

Never assume you can't lose in the NFL, it's been proven throughout the history of the league.

Play hard & play to win the game, there is no X by our name in the standings yet.

Landry Jones game, the sequel. Prepare for him even though he plays the position as well as I do with one arm.

can't have any letdowns in games that should be dominating wins. The Niners suck, our schedule is still pretty brutal down the stretch and we're gonna need every W we can get to hang on to that 2 seed.

I for one am not ready to give up the #1 seed yet. yes I know on paper Carolina's schedule looks pretty weak, however Dallas now has Romo back and they are playing in Dallas. That could be loss #1 there. Then they have 4 divisional games and as we all know divisional games are never easy no matter how bad a team may be. They also have the Giants who are fighting for a playoff spot so that game may be very important and it's in NY. The injury bug hasn't bit them and could come around at any time so I think there is still a chance the gap could get closed with Carolina.

Fair enough, but that would require us winning out and them to lose two games to NFC teams to secure the tie breaker. Just don't see that happening. I'm fine with the #2 seed, tbh.

Not only that, but the idea that they haven't been hit with the injury bug yet isn't really true. Keuchly has already missed 3 games and Benjamin, their number 1 WR has been out all year.

They may stumble a bit and lose a couple games, but I don't see us running the table to catch them. Would be incredible to see, but our schedule is brutal. 2 seed works for me!

in Urban's latest article, Arians said Rucker and PP are both day-to-day.

and had one of the best quotes ever re: Larsen: "He graded out very, very well. Other than the almost FUBAR of the year."

You beat me to it BB, one can lose any game and especially on the road. This is the NFL and we need Peterson especially in a game where one thinks the advantage might be ours. Trust me, like almost every year we are going to be coveting any win we can get late in the schedule and they are all hard... the Niners will be tough at home because they are professionals (and that last game had to leave a very bad taste in their mouth) and this whole we can hold Peterson out because they are not very good is nonsense!
