Former UFC title challenger Anthony Smith has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies.

Smith was arrested on Monday evening at 8:44 p.m. in Nebraska and remains in custody in the Sarpy County Jail. "Lionhearted" faces felony charges for terroristic threats, false imprisonment in the first degree, and domestic violence causing serious bodily injury. TMZ first reported the story.

Domestic violence causing serious bodily injury is a Class 2A felony in Nebraska. Terroristic threats and false imprisonment in the first degree are Class 3A felonies. The domestic violence causing serious bodily injury charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years. The 3A felonies can carry three years in prison, 18 months of post-release supervision, and up to a $10,000 fine.

The details of what led to the arrest weren't available. Smith retired from mixed martial arts last year having his retirement fight against Zhang Mingyang on April 26, 2025.
