Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the best receiver in the NFL last season. That's why he led all wideouts with 1,793 receiving yards. Smith-Njigba won Offensive Player of the Year honors for his efforts, with the Seahawks also winning Super Bowl 60.

There are a number of advanced stats and metrics that help further highlight Smith-Njigba's 2025 dominance. Pro Football Focus just released another one. Smith-Njigba ranked second among all qualifying receivers in yards per route run (YPRR) at 3.42 after producing 136 catches, 1,992 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns (playoffs included) in a breakout season.

"Smith-Njigba established himself as one of the NFL's premier receivers in 2025, hauling in 136 receptions for 1,992 yards and 12 touchdowns on 182 targets," Mark Chichester wrote. "He remained productive after the catch, too, generating 596 yards after the catch."

Only Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua averaged more yards per route run (3.57). It's an effective advanced metric that measures both efficiency and dynamic playmaking ability. It's no surprise to see Smith-Njigba near the top of the leaderboard.

Smith-Njigba will be the focal point of Brian Fleury's offense. The Seahawks' new offensive coordinator is fortunate to inherit such an explosive playmaker at receiver. Smith-Njigba will continue being an efficient route runner for Sam Darnold in 2026.
