ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – One of the area’s favorite traditions returned to the Twin Tiers.
The annual Battle of the Badges hockey game took over the LECOM Event Center, on Saturday. Members of Chemung County Law Enforcement jumped on the ice for their traditional fundraising meeting against the Elmira Fire Department.
The special hockey game was free to attend, with donations being accepted in support of local first responders. A packed arena of fans and family enjoyed another great game, seeing the Elmira Fire Department win for the 2nd-straight year 6-4. Logan Baldwin delivered a huge game for the firemen, scoring a hat trick. Other goal scorers included Jake Giammichele and Hunter Argetsinger.
