COLLEGE PARK, GA ― Angel Reese hit a buzzer-beater before the half that sent Atlanta Dream fans into a frenzy.
The Dream and the Los Angeles Sparks have been trading baskets, and Reese has been part of the points party on Monday at Gateway Center Arena. As the Dream hold a 59-48 lead over Los Angeles, Reese has 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal at halftime.
Two of Reese's points gave Atlanta added momentum as they went to the locker room. With less than three seconds remaining in the second quarter, Rhyne Howard let a 3-pointer fly. Howard missed the shot, but Reese was there for the putback. The Dream forward found the ball in midair, pushed it back up and bounced it in.
"C'mon! C'mon!" Reese said, pumping the crowd up as she went to the locker room.
Reese, who joined Atlanta in the offseason via trade, is averaging 15 points, 11.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals per matchup.
The Dream forward also earned her third All-Star selection this season with her new team.
