What is most telling, and bothersome, to me is how often Wiz and Graves use the, "...we've had success doing it this way... " when responding to critics.

Brothers please... quit acting like you are Bill Belichick or Bill Walsh.

Kurt Warner was by far the main reason for our success, followed by Haley, followed by Fitz and Q. Somewhere further down the line Wiz might figure into the success but only because he hired Haley.

- He passed on Peterson for Brown (when everyone in the free world knew that Brown was at best a late first rounder) EGO did this.
- He pissed one of the most honorable, hardest working, toughest, players the NFL has ever seen and one of the franchise's legendary players by doing whatever the hell it was he did. EGO did this.
- He brought in Scud to replace Kurt Warner when everyone in the free world knew Scud worthless. EGO did this.
- His handling of the Leinart situation was bush league. EGO did this.
- Keeping Clancy? EGO. Okay, maybe just idiot Graves meddling.

I could go on, but we all know the how the story goes.



As for Graves, well, Graves is just an idiot. I so do not like the way he operates.

Wiz's blind stubbornness and ego have been on display all season. I, for one, have little faith left in his abilities as a leader and head coach of this team. His comments as posted by Somers this afternoon serve only to heighten my concern.

John H. posted earlier something along the lines that the lack of decisiveness from this organization will seal their fate, yet again.

You know, on some level, maybe Warner leading this group to the Super Bowl was the worst thing that cold have happened to Graves and Wiz's ego. Because now they can go have soup at the Bidwill's house and flaunt their success at bowtie bill.

If Whiz did anything right, it was letting Warner audible away from whatever asinine play he wanted to call.

Only a moron would consider firing Whisenhunt.

That is a fairly ridiculous statement to make, considering that by his own admission, Whizenhunt has shown favoritism to certain players who did not deserve to be playing. There are very few things that a coach can do that are more harmful than to demand loyalty to him and his system, then turn right around and be disloyal to players who give him their all. This not only hurts the players concerned, but everyone who sees it happening. Perhaps the ones hurt worst, are the very young rookies whos psyche is still vulnerable, and who really need to build confidence in thier abilities.

It is never good to let your personal likes and dislikes determine who gets playing time, especially when you expouse the theme of competition to win positions. I don't know how any coach who has done that can ever demand loyalty and trust from any players again. That is not something that is easily given, (or forgiven). You can bet that the word gets around the league, and that will make it much harder to get good players to want to come here.

Charley Winner was the coach when I started watching the Cardinals. Playoff wins........................Zero, Zero , Zero , Nada, NONE! The other two had to be long before your time. Sorry, but if you think we should fire Whiz, you then become part of the moron brigade.

Charley Winner provided one of the greatest moments of all time for Cardinals fans. In 1970 his team had 3 consecutive shutouts including the 38-0 win over the Cowboys on Monday Night Football the game that Dandy Don started singing turn out the lights the party's over.

That team was like the Patriots team that went 11-5 and missed the playoffs. They were friggin' awesome. 4 games in a row and they allowed only 6 total points! I'd like to see another franchise that ever won 3 games by the combined score of 113 to 0 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been harassing NFL Films to do a segment on that team for years. I'm like Tim Robbins in Shawshank Redemption petitioning for more library books.
