May or may not make the team, but a good 7th round pick. It's unfortunate that we didn't get a cb, but in the 7th round Navarre is a good pickup. On espn some were saying he was probably a career backup. But, you can't expect much from a 7th round pick...if he makes the team, he's a good pick.

One thing about Navarre you don't have to wonder about is if he can handle criticism. He was maybe the most criticized starting QB ever at Michigan. He had an awesome game against Ohio St., so that was an "In your face" to a lot of his critics.

I like the pick very much. I think mobility is a question, but, he's undoubtedly a big strong guy with a good arm whose faced the best competition in the country and won quite a few games. Let the guy hold a clipboard for a while, and watch and learn.

With a QB friendly coach like Green, who knows how good this guy could be in a couple of years?

I think the post draft free agent signings and June 1st cuts along with a potential trade or two will take care of CB depth on the team. Right now its Duane Starks on one corner spot and Renaldo Hill or Adrian Wilson at the other corner spot. I can live with that but we need to add a veteran down the road. Is Mike Stone still on the team?? Maybe Denny Green likes him and can get something finally out of his potential.

If Macklin can't beat out Hill then he was a waste free agent signing. I've said it before and I will say it again Hill is a below average NFL CB and wouldn't be among the top 3 CBs on most of the teams in the NFL and to be even mentioned as a potential starter shows how poor our talent is at CB.

I'm disappointed we didn't get a CB at some point BUT we've seen how drafting for need can ruin a draft. Hopefully we can make a deal for some unhappy CB out there(McKenzie hopefully--how about next years third rounder and a player to be named later?)

I do really like the pick of Navarre--although I liked Pickett better(he was gone anyway). He could turn out to be a good developmental guy. He's definitely better than that Ohio St QB that was drafted earlier in the day.

As for grading the draft we can't honestly judge our draft for 2 seasons or more. It will be judged on who is still in the league and their level of play--judging it right after is kinda silly.

Solid pick, BPA on alot of boards at that point. I think Navarre makes the team, not the PS, and Parsons is on his way out unless he thoroughly out plays King in camp.

It's nice to see Denny G bringing in "HIS" kind of players, and replacing the old. I also think that the a few UDFAs will make the team, I'm anxious to see who we can pick up.

The McKenzie to AZ for next years 3rd, would sound nice also. Denny has the guts to do it too, make a spash in year 1, for next years 3rd rounder, in a heart beat. Maybe even our 2nd if the 3rd doesn't get it done.

i dont see a lot of college games but i did see one where i thought Navarre looked horrible. Despite that, a few months ago im sure Navarre was being touted as a mid rounder so getting him in the 7th is probably a nice shout.
