Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova have been doing a lot of press recently promoting their Netflix documentary “Chris and Martina: The Final Set.”

The former tennis foes turned friends and cancer survivors have a special relationship that has evolved over the decades. Though the documentary is set for a June 26 release, Netflix has already earned rave reviews for giving fans an inside look at how the two legends navigated their fame, on-court rivalry, and the bumps life handed them along the way including multiple bouts of cancer for each woman.

Unfortunately, Evert, 71, is dealing with a health issue that has kept her from traveling to Wimbledon to prepare for her ESPN duties and for a showing of the documentary at the All England Club.

Evert underwent exploratory surgery on June 23 in Florida. Prior to leaving for the hospital, she said: “Unexpectedly, a recent, routine CT scan was abnormal, suggesting the ovarian cancer may be back. Surgery is recommended for further treatment.”
