The next 11 teams ready to globetrot the world are at the starting gate awaiting the official start of the seventh edition of the Emmy Award-winning "The Amazing Race," which begins on Tuesday, March 1 with a special two-hour premiere episode (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).
The Amazing Race 7 returns to its regular Tuesday (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) time period beginning March 8.
The Amazing Race 6, which regularly wins its time period in key demographics, is currently averaging 11.27 million viewers, 4.5/11 in adults 18-49 and 5.1/11 in adults 25-54.
In September, "The Amazing Race" was awarded the Emmy Award for Best Reality program for the second consecutive year.
Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster (who co-created the series along with Elise Doganieri), Jonathan Littman and Hayma Screech Washington are the executive producers for Bruckheimer Films and Earthview Inc. in association with Touchstone Television and Amazing Race Productions. Amy Chacon and Evan Weinstein are the co-executive producers.
