After going 18-11 in 2025, the Amarillo College volleyball team is looking to build on the best season in program history.
The 18 wins were the most in a single season across the Badgers' four years in action, surpassing the school's previous record of 16 wins in 2022.
Amarillo College's 2026 campaign kicks off on Aug. 20 when the group will meet Eastern Arizona College at the NMMI Classic in Roswell, New Mexico. The Badgers' home opener against Lamar Community College is set for 6 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the FirstBank Southwest Center.

The team's 14-game conference schedule begins on Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. when they square off against Clarendon College on the road. The Badgers will close the regular season in Amarillo against Western Texas College at 2 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Head coach Scott Sandel's team features multiple players from the Texas Panhandle, including two from Tascosa, where Sandel was the head volleyball coach from 2006-2012.
Hereford alumna London Baker enters her second season with the Badgers after setting a school record with 628 assists as a freshman. Baker also logged 61 digs and 30 aces in 2025.
Tascosa product Yuna Ng also returns to Amarillo College for her sophomore campaign after turning in 134 kills, 24 digs, 23 blocks and six aces.
Former Lady Rebels Berkley Harper Anna Escamilla join Ng with the Badgers for the 2026 season. Harper earned Amarillo Globe-News Super Team and first team All-District 3-5A recognition in 2025.
Randall alumna Jaynelyn Chavarria will also be part of Sandel's squad following a second team All-District 4-4A selection as a senior.
