As expected, Boston's second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Amari Williams, didn't see much playing time during the 2025-26 campaign. Playing behind the duo of Neemias Queta and Luka Garza, the Celtics didn't have much of a runway for Williams, especially given their status as contenders. Additionally, a mid-season trade for Nikola Vucevic didn't help his chances of breaking into the frontcourt rotation.
That said, the former Kentucky product did manage to get in 22 games, making his first two NBA starts when the Celtics were shorthanded. In those games, Williams posted 1.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.5 blocks in just 6.6 minutes per game. Hopefully a strong Summer League campaign for Williams can translate into increased opportunities during the 2026-27 season.
Here are some of Amari Williams' best plays of the season.
