One of the most fun things about pretty much every sport is the hypotheticals fans come up with throughout the offseason. What if this player were coached by a legend? What if these two players teamed up? There is plenty of this that goes around throughout the calendar each year, and when it comes to football, some of those questions may end up being answered based on the new rosters.
This spring, Fanatics will be hosting their Flag Football Classic event, preparing the U.S. Men's National Team for competition in the future Olympics. Two teams were drafted to go up against them, including one team led by Sean Payton and another by Kyle Shanahan. The Payton-led team provides some fun storylines for the New Orleans Saints, though, as it will allow Alvin Kamara to reunite with his former coach and Tom Brady to team up with both.
According to the official roster page, the Payton team includes Brady, Kamara, Jalen Hurts, Ashton Jeanty, Rob Gronkowski, Antoine Winfield Jr., Devonta Smith, Stefon Diggs, Von Miller, Damar Hamlin, Patrick Peterson, and Terence Crawford. As for the Shanahan roster, it will consist of Jayden Daniels, Joe Burrow, Saquon Barkley, Kyle Juszczyk, Odell Beckham Jr., Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Derwin James Jr., Luke Kuechly, Jalen Ramsey, Logan Paul, and IShowSpeed.
Multiple games will be held on Saturday, March 21, between the three teams involved, giving current and former players the chance to play for what could be the first time in some cases. It is a fun concept to see players we may never see together on the same field actually get the chance to do so. The Fanatics Flag Football Classic will begin at 3 p.m. CT (4 p.m. ET). The tournament will be televised on Fox and available to stream on Tubi and FuboTV.
