The Indiana Fever released their injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Portland Fire, and star center Aliyah Boston was not included.

Boston is expected to return to the lineup after missing just one game with a lower leg injury. Indiana never fully revealed the nature of the injury, but the center did participate in practice on Tuesday.

When she missed Sunday’s game against the Seattle Storm, it was the first time she had missed a game in her WNBA career.

Going further back, Boston’s consecutive game streak dated back to her tenure at the University of South Carolina and totaled 265 games played without missing over the last seven years.

Boston suffered the injury during an overtime loss last week against the Washington Mystics. She was initially listed as questionable for the game against Seattle on Sunday before being ruled out ahead of the game.

Without their starting center against the Storm, the Fever opted to shift around the starting rotation. Sophie Cunningham logged 25 minutes off the bench as Lexie Hull and Myisha Hines-Allen earned starts.

Indiana went on to win the game 89-78, moving to 2-2 early in the 2026 season.

In the three games that she has played this season, Boston is averaging 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 23.0 minutes per game.


The 24-year-old was named the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year in 2023 and has been a WNBA All-Star each of her three seasons so far in her career.
