Just looked up Dre Kirkpatrick on Football Reference - pretty interesting one of the players they say he is statistically most similar too is Robert Alford.

Do the cards actually have enough cap space to sign him right now?

Is Kirkpatrick any good? I don't take much notice of the bungles.

His PFF grades are consistently bad. Solid low 60s pretty much every year. His best is 68.

You can argue about PFF in the short term but they aren't wrong over 7 years.

Although he has played for the Bengals in bad defences.

They could do a Suggs. Sign him to a 2 year deal that's really a 1 year deal and eat dead cap next year.

Could Alford's injury help the team in the long run? Not saying that they are very good, but by bringing in three new CB's, the Cornerback Room is no longer pencil thin. If you don't have quality, at least have quantity. JMO.

There a reason Crawley and Webb couldn't even find a camp to compete at.

I'm fine with Kirkpatrick but fully expect Crawley and Webb to get cut as Peterson and Jones are better.
