The Denver Broncos look to build on their strong 2025 season with an even better 2026. And Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer believes that the Broncos' success depends largely on the play of quarterback Bo Nix.
"(Nix) actually looks like he's got a stronger arm than he did his first two years in the league," Breer said in a video of Broncos camp takeaways published on Tuesday. "He's taking another step as a leader. He's really making the team his own."
Breer goes on to talk about the impact of Jaylen Waddle, the improved running back room and incredible depth of the Broncos going into 2026. You can view his full comments below.
Breer is spot-on with his analysis of Nix. Early in training camp, Nix has looked sharp, connecting on long passes with several receivers. More importantly, he has been able to take contact — and get up from it. His ability to learn and command offensive coordinator Davis Webb's offense will be front and center to the success of the team in the upcoming season.
Nix, coming off an injury that sidelined him for the AFC Championship game in late January, says he is full-go and ready to get back into live-game action. If he stays healthy in 2026, he could lead the Broncos even further.
