The Alabama Crimson Tide are likely set to enter the 2026-27 season as one of college basketball's top teams.

Coming off another Sweet 16 appearance, that thought has been echoed throughout the offseason by many across the sport, one of which has been ESPN's Jeff Borzello via his way-too-early 2026-27 Top 25 rankings. Borzello has rankedAlabama among the Top 25 teams nationally throughout the offseason, and in his latest update, the Crimson Tide even saw a slight rise.

Alabama is now ranked as the No. 14 team in Borzello's latest rankings, rising one spot from their previous ranking of No. 15. The Crimson Tide are also the fifth-highest ranked SEC team behind only Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Since the previous update, Alabama made one addition to their 2026-27 roster in incoming freshman center TJ St. Louis. St. Louis is an unranked, 7-foot center out of Fort Erie International Academy in Canada, and is expected to provide further depth to the Alabama frontcourt this season.

The Crimson Tide are set to open the 2026-27 season at home Nov. 3 against Sam Houston.
