The Alabama Crimson Tide have joined the hunt for five-star Georgia Bulldogs quarterback commitment Jayden Wade. Alabama offered a scholarship to Wade on Friday, March 6.
The Crimson Tide are the latest major college football program to offer the top-ranked quarterback prospect. Wade, a member of the class of 2028, is the No. 4 recruit in the country, per 247Sports. He is ranked as the third-best recruit in Florida.
Wade has been committed to Georgia since Nov. 2025. The Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart have a long way to go before the class of 2028 early signing period, but there's a chance that Wade, a rising junior, could reclassify and become a member of the class of 2027.
Alabama joins several other SEC teams in trying to flip Wade. The LSU Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers are also aggressively recruiting the five-star passer.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback plays high school football for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. IMG Academy is one of the top high school programs in the country.
"I am extremely blessed and humbled to say that I have received an offer from the University of Alabama," Wade said via social media after receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide. Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb are expected to be among the Crimson Tide's key recruiters for Wade.
In other recent recruiting news, Georgia earned a commitment from four-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse.
