An Akron Zips baseball outfielder will be taking his talents to the University of Kentucky.

Brody Chrisman, who received All-MAC First Team honors for the 2026 season with the Zips, announced his commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

During the 2026 season, Chrisman slashed .355/.453/.603 with 14 doubles, 13 homers and 52 RBI. He had more walks (33) than strikeouts (32) and was successful on 23 of his 27 stolen base attempts. He became the second first-team All-MAC selection under head coach Bryan Faulds.

Chrisman was one of two Zips players to earn All-Conference honors, being joined by teammate Blake Bowen, who made the All-MAC Second Team.

In addition to his gaudy offensive stats and baserunning acumen, Chrisman posted a perfect fielding percentage in the outfield while contributing four outfield assists.

He'll now join an SEC team coming off a 31-21 season that included a 13-17 record in conference play.
