After a scary situation over the weekend, Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy got good news on Tuesday.

Hardy was shot on Sunday at a concert in the upper leg, but ESPN's Pete Thamel shared that he was released from the hospital after receiving treatment and will return to Missouri's campus immediately to begin rehab.

Thamel added that Hardy's goal is to play this season despite the terrifying incident that took place on Sunday.

Hardy led the SEC in rushing last season with 1,649 yards. Here's hoping he'll get back on the football field in no time after suffering such a terrible injury.
