Mali vs Tunisia is one of the most enticing fixtures in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations – AFCON 2025. It's a clash between two sides that know each other inside out.
Tunisia got off to the perfect start in the group stage with a win over Uganda (3-1). However, a subsequent 3-2 defeat to Nigeria put them under pressure. A 1-1 draw against Tanzania was then enough to see them through to the knockouts.
As for Mali, they secured qualification by finishing second in their group despite not winning a single match. The Eagles drew all three games: 1-1 against Zambia, 1-1 versus Morocco, and a goalless draw (0-0) with Comoros.
