The fact that we're going to any bowl with BJ Denker as our starting QB is a minor miracle and something to be happy about. Next year it's on: favorable schedule, 3rd year in the system, an actual D-1 quarterback, and some JUCO players to fill some gaps.

I really wish the NCAA would quit allowing bowls to be named solely by the sponsor of the month (instead of the AdvoCare Independence Bowl or such), but that ship has sailed.

Sorry, I got sidelined by the "Holiday Bowl" comment. Spent 4 years in Shreveport and can vouch for it's lack of relevance. I originally came on here to comment on the Carey snub as far as the Heisman invitees is concerned. He put up huge numbers against much better competition and still gets snubbed. What an injustice. The dude is a stud and is getting screwed by the east coast bias. Wish him the best. He will prove them all wrong.
