Ron McKinnon used to lead our team in tackles often. And, though he was a gutsy player, nobody could accuse him of being an all-pro, and he certainly wasn't getting paid like one. Wilson HAS been compared to all-pro status, and he IS getting paid like one. He is NOT playing like an all-pro. So, until he does, he IS a contract-year player.

eh, a lot of idiots on this board (i'm not naming names or referring to anyone in particular) drank the kool-aid and used to spout (not stout) ronnie mac as a pro bowl caliber player. he wasn't.

What?
Wilson is one of the few players we have that is going balls out. He makes mistakes but it isn't for a lack of effort. Trying to cover for some other players is a bitch.

The guy has no confidence in the supporting cast. I can't blame him for that. To single AW out at this point is ludicrous.

I don't think anyone wants to just single him out. On this thread, yes, obviously. I think he's playing terribly, and deserves to be called on it. Singled out alone for his bad play? Um, NO WAY. Give me a little Dockett, Kolodje, injuries, Griffith, Dansby (for gap control), Huff, Darling...and that's just on the defensive side of the ball!!!

AW is one of my few "we must keep" players. He can only do so much.

Apparently proper tackling isn't one of the things he can do, then. That sure in the heck doesn't rely on the play of those around him.

Yeah he was the best player when they were fielding pro-bowlers like Rashod Swinger, JJ McKleskey, Coby Reinhart and Johnny Rutledge

Now we field Dockett, Griffith, Tate, Green, Huff

Your right I see the difference.

Ok I dont really.

I sat in disgust and disbelief this past Sunday - totally sober, BTW, and watched live and on 2 video replays Wilson hit the gap, ball carrier in his crosshairs, then DIVE low with his head DOWN , and barely nick the runner - WTH!!!????
