CAMDEN, N.J. -- As the Philadelphia 76ers move forward with the 2025-26 season, the focus will be getting everybody on the same page heading into the playoffs--if they can remain in the top 6.

The currently suspended Paul George is doing his part as he looks to remain involved with the Sixers despite not being available to play. While some players may have been sidelined and not doing anything with the team amid a suspension, George has been playing with the team's scouts and player development coaches to remain in shape and prepare for his return on March 25 against the Chicago Bulls.

Young big man Adem Bona has been happy with what he's seen from George. The 9-time All-Star has been able to get some time in with the team and help the younger players out such as Bona, VJ Edgecombe, and others to help the team grow.

"I mean, a lot," Bona said of George's presence. "Like, you've seen, like he's here every practice, every shootaround. Even stays back after practice, shootaround to work with the guys. He works with VJ a lot. He works with the young guys we have, Dalen Terry, Tyrese Martin. He just tries his best to give as much as he can even while he's not out there in the games, but during practice and walkthroughs, he’s a huge presence. Even with the scouts. He’s playing the scouts and coaches, so, yeah. He’s been huge."

For somebody like George, he easily could have just sat on the sidelines and get his rest in. Not do much and just wait out the time until he could return to the floor. Instead of doing that, he put his head down and worked and he's been a real positive presence for this group out on the floor even while suspended. That sets a good example for everybody involved.

"I think that just shows like, leadership, and it shows like, like, he shows how much he's invested in it," Bona added. "He could just be on the side. He didn't have to be on the scouts. He just shows he cares and how much he wants the team to succeed, even makes it better. Having him on the scouts makes it more realistic. Got in some of my game. So, not just for me, for as a team in general, I think that's been huge. Just his presence has been huge."
