Abby Wambach, a gold medal Olympian and celebrated soccer star, is the latest high-profile figure to exit sports marketing and talent agency Wasserman after CEO Casey Wasserman’s name appeared in the Epstein files.
“I have left the Wasserman Agency,” the National Soccer Hall of Fame member, 45, wrote in a post shared to Instagram on Wednesday, February 11.
“I read Casey Wasserman’s correspondences in the Epstein files,” she continued, referring to the 51-year-old businessman’s alleged email exchanges with Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell — who was found guilty in 2021 of child sex trafficking.

“I know what I know, and I am following my gut and my values,” Wambach wrote. “I will not participate in any business arrangement under his leadership. I also need to say this: I am grateful to my agent, who I’ve known for almost 20 years and trust.”
Urging Wasserman to “resign” from his position at the agency, she added, “He should leave, so more people like me don’t have to.”
“I am unclear of my next steps,” she said. “That’s OK with me, I just know where I can’t be.”
In the comments section of her post, wife Glennon Doyle wrote, “Let’s f**king go is taking on a whole new meaning. We know what we know, so now let’s f**king GO- and build something better. I love you so much and I am so proud to be your wife. Let’s f**king GO and let’s keep going.”

Earlier this week, singer Chappell Roan announced that she left the agency founded by Wasserman, who previously released a statement saying, “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell,” which he said occurred “long before her horrific crimes came to light.”
In the Department of Justice’s January 30 release of more documents related to the Epstein scandal, Wasserman’s last name comes up more than 100 times by search.
In one email — dated Tuesday, April 1, 2003 — he allegedly communicated with an address identified as “Maxwell, Ghislaine,” writing: “Where are you, I miss you. I will be in nyc for 4 days starting april 22…can we book that massage now?”
At the time, Wasserman was married to Laura Ziffren, with whom he shares two children; the two divorced in 2021.
Sources recently told The Hollywood Reporter that there are other artists who are also considering cutting ties with the businessman.
