It's official. Aaron Rodgers will return to the Pittsburgh Steelers at least for one more year, according to numerous reports.

"Four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers agreed to terms on a one-year deal, sources tell NFL Network. Now entering his 22nd NFL season, Rodgers reunites with Mike McCarthy for one more run in Pittsburgh."

Most NFL experts thought Rodgers would return, but things looked a little shaky last week when he came into town; according to reports, he didn’t meet with team officials.

Rumors were circulating that the team might be growing frustrated with Rodgers and would set a deadline, but team officials told NFL insiders like Mike Florio that wasn’t the case.

Rodgers indicated last year on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he thought 2025 might be his last season.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is it," Rodgers said last June. "That's why we just did a one-year deal. Steelers didn't need to put any extra years on that or anything, so this was really about finishing with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career that I've had.

"I played 20 fricking years. It's been a long run. I've enjoyed it, and no better place to finish than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL with Mike Tomlin and a great group of leadership and great guys in the city that expects you to win."

Rodgers has not indicated whether 2026 will be his last season.
