WNBA player Aari McDonald has leveraged on the success she had with the Indiana Fever last season. McDonald gained enough interest throughout the offseason to clinch a deal to play in Unrivaled and eventually join Breeze BC alongside Paige Bueckers.

On Monday, she played for the first time in five months. Her re-appearance on the court comes after she suffered a season-ending injury and was sidelined during the Fever’s 2025 playoff run.

It was a special game for the point guard since it had been a long time coming since she was on the floor for a game.

“Today is my first time playing in almost 5 months ,” McDonald posted on X before suiting up for Breeze BC on Monday night in the Unrivaled league.

Unfortunately for her and the team, Aari McDonald left the game in the third quarter.

She appeared to have suffered an injury and only put up six points in the 69-62 win over Phantom BC, thanks to Bueckers’ 24-point performance.

She checked out of the matchup and headed straight to the locker room. As the Fever guard did not return to the court, fans got worried about her state since she had just recovered from an injury.
