A model....no blueprint.... for how the Cards should approach this game!

Week 5

Granted the Browns are a very good defensive team but they just pounded the Steelers....

I've never been good at models, I lose interest after a few pieces and they just sit in my closet forever. Most of them I don't even take out of the box.

I approached a model once. Didn't work out for me. I don't reccomend that the cardinals use a model approach.

That arcitle says nothing about the Browns success running on the steelers defense. I think William Green had like 110 yards. Does anyone think William Green is better than Marcel Shipp? I certainly don't.

Wow, that came out of nowhere. Way to stay on topic.

First the Steelers had won 6 in a row against the Browns,so it was a long time coming.

William Green had 115 yards on 33 carries...the last run 24 yards. So trust me,he earned a lot of those.

Now to the question...on offense

1. Open up throwing the ball to Boldin and Johnson. Blake should be able to handle the noise, since he has played there enough. Get him in a rhythem.TE Freddie Jones on SS Mike Logan is a very interesting matchup. It could go either way.

2. Throw some screen passes to Shipp and FB Hodgins. Most teams haven't had success doing that but it will keep the linebackers on their toes.

3. Mix in some stunts and traps for Shipp. The Steelers are very good in outside containment and on the interior. With your big offensive line though, they will be helping out Center Peter Kendall against NT Casey Hampton. That should get Shipp some running run until he runs into Kendrell Bell and James Farrior lol.

My research tells me that...

the Cards can pass for 200 yards and win... Am I the only one who thinks this is a modest amount for a pro team?

You're kidding, right? This thread started out about a possible was for the cards to play the steelers. The topic wasn't about models.

Man, you are really trying hard to talk us out of running the football mulpwr. You're starting to get my hackles up.

The more you talk, the more I want to hand it off to Shipp about 10 straight plays.

The noise factor scares me more than anything. I've only noticed marginal improvement at away games since the Detroit debacle. I sure hope Mac, Sully and Jeff have it fixed.
