One day after being traded to the New England Patriots, A.J. Brown was already on the practice field for OTAs on Tuesday.

It was straight to business for the three-time All-Pro wide receiver, who is working to get up to speed with the offense and his new teammates. Most notably, he will be working to get on the same page with Patriots' third-year quarterback Drake Maye.

Maye and Brown's connection will be key in the team's hopes to win the AFC East division and contend for a Super Bowl for a second straight year. The Patriots' social media team caught an early connection between the duo during the team's practice drills.

Maye threw up a perfect back-shoulder pass, and Brown made a beautiful one-handed catch look effortless.

Maye will enter the 2026 season with more weapons than he's ever had on offense.

Brown will be the team's new No. 1 receiver, and Romeo Doubs, whom the Patriots signed in free agency, will serve as a strong No. 2 option. The Patriots still have Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams, DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins and Efton Chism III, along with two exceptionally talented running backs in Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.

That goes without mentioning Hunter Henry and rookie third-round draft pick Eli Raridon at tight end. On paper, it's the most talented Patriots team we've seen in years.
