Since she entered the league in 2018, A’ja Wilson has spent years being one of the WNBA’s youngest superstars. But somewhere along the way, the four-time MVP became one of the veterans of the league. And on Saturday, she got a hilarious reminder of that reality after finding out just how young Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles really is.

During the 2026 WNBA All-Star pregame media availability, Wilson casually assumed Miles was a “2000 baby,” only for the rookie to correct her with “03.” And as soon as Wilson heard that, her eyes immediately widened before she turned away in disbelief and said:

“Oh, my God!”

This moment only became funnier when Miles, trying to work out the age gap between them, asked the Las Vegas Aces center, “Aren’t you like 27?”

“Girl, no. I’m 29. Don’t do that.” A’ja Wilson said, wasting no time correcting her.

Wilson and Miles are all set to play together as teammates for the first time after both were drafted onto Teresa Weatherspoon’s Team Spoon. While Wilson is making her eighth All-Star appearance, Miles has earned her first All-Star selection in her rookie season after making an immediate impact for the Lynx.

The No. 2 overall pick has enjoyed a seamless transition to the WNBA, where she quickly established herself as the front-runner for ROTY. She is currently averaging 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game and has led her team to 22 wins. This has helped the Lynx sit at the top of the WNBA standings.

A’ja Wilson, on the other hand, is once again leading the WNBA in scoring. She is averaging a league-best 26.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while helping the Aces to 18 wins. And although they’re opponents during the regular season, Wilson and Miles will team up for one night as members of Team Spoon, coached by Cheryl Reeve.

This gives fans a rare chance to watch two players at opposite ends of their WNBA journeys share the floor. A’ja Wilson, who led her team to three championships in the last four seasons, has spent nearly a decade establishing herself as one of the strongest players in the league, while Olivia Miles is only beginning what has all the ingredients for a special career.

But before they even stepped onto the court together, their off-court interaction had already delivered one of the most memorable moments of All-Star weekend.
