76ers star Tyrese Maxey named to All-NBA Team following stellar season

Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey threw the team on his back in the 2025-26 season more often than not. As the team dealt with injuries once again in many areas of the roster, Maxey was available to play in 70 games and averaged 28.3 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 46.2% from the floor and 36.7% from deep.

On top of playing 70 games, Maxey led the league in minutes at 38.0 per game. In his sixth season, Maxey was named to the All-Star game for the second time in his career and was voted in as a starter for the first time. He kept the Sixers afloat, led them to the No. 7 seed, and a Round 1 upset over the Boston Celtics after falling behind 3-1 in the series.

For his work, Maxey was named to the All-NBA Third Team. He joins Jalen Duren, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Johnson, and Jamal Murray on the team.

Maxey will now look to build off this honor as he continues to grow as a player in this league. He will head into his seventh season overall and second with new backcourt mate VJ Edgecombe as Philadelphia looks to build as a team.
