The San Francisco 49ers' injury problem didn't improve much in the lead up to their wild card playoff matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Seven players are officially questionable for the contest.

Of the seven players who may or may not suit up for San Francisco, five are starters on either side of the ball.

Here's the injury report for Sunday and a status update for each player:

WR Jacob Cowing (hamstring)

Cowing had his practice window opened for the wild card round, but head coach Kyle Shanahan on Wednesday indicated it's unlikely Cowing will be activated for the game in Philadelphia.

Status: Questionable

LB Luke Gifford (quadricep)

The bad news got worse for Gifford during the week. He was hurt in the regular season finale and got a limited practice in Wednesday. The special teams Pro Bowler was downgraded to a non-participant for Thursday and Friday which doesn't bode well for his chances to play.

Status: Questionable

CB Renardo Green (ankle)

This isn't great. Green wasn't on the participation report until Friday where he was listed as a limited participant with an ankle injury. With injuries up front and at linebacker, losing a starter in the secondary would be a particularly brutal blow for the 49ers defense.

Status: Questionable

WR Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle)

It's hard to imagine Pearsall suits up against the Eagles. He didn't play in Week 18 and did not practice at all leading up to Sunday's game.

Status: Questionable

DE Keion White (groin, hamstring)

White worked through a groin injury and played against the Seattle Seahawks in the regular season finale. He's now also dealing with a hamstring issue and didn't practice until getting limited work in Friday.

Status: Questionable

LT Trent Williams (hamstring)

The 49ers probably got the best week they could've realistically hoped for from Williams. He didn't practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday and Friday.

Status: Questionable

LB Dee Winters (ankle)

It would be a surprise if Winters is able to go in Philadelphia. He didn't practice after leaving Week 18 with an ankle injury.
