Diamondbacks hit a home run with 'summer pass' ticket deal

The Diamondbacks have a lot of good ideas. Most of them can be found at the concession stand and include a significant amount of calories.

Not this time.

The team will unveil its “Ballpark Summer Pass” program on Sunday, allowing fans to attend every home game in June and July for $50. That’s $2 per game if you attend all 25 contests.

I am going to do this

Let us know when you buy them. I tried purchasing them online but got this message "Unfortunately we're experiencing some technical issues and could not complete the requested transaction".

Planning to do this as well with the family.. does anyone know if s there a limit on the number they are doing? Was going to wait until pay day, but can do it now if there's only a small number available.

"If you attend all 25 games"

How do they enforce this? If I pay $50 up front, then they cant control whether I come or not.

That makes zero sense. They are just pointing out that if you went to all 25 games, your cost per game would be $2/game.

Thats called a dangling participle.

Pretty cool deal. Break even point is pretty low as well.

The ballpark app is great and over the past couple of years the relocation cost to upgrade seats has been really modest.

That's a great deal. I would do it if I lived or worked downtown.

Based on the June & July home schedule they should just open up the whole upper deck to this.

They're banking on people not going to all 25. Heck, even if you just went to 10 games it would be $5/gm.

I wouldn't mind if they bumped up the price and offered better seat locations.

You can upgrade theseats30 minutes before the game using the same app (MLB.com). I have upgraded to fantastic seats for a modest sum.

We're shooting for between 5-10 games, being realistic about it. Depending on if others can download the app and use my login (not that I would EVER do anything like that), probably a few more.

has anyone does this yet? curious about the rules, can I buy 2 and have them both in my name and bring whoever I want? I'd gladly do that, but it's hard to nail down 1 person to go to as many baseball games as i'd go to

I bought two tickets, but I don't recall having to put the other person's name in. Both tickets will come to my phone, so not sure how they will police if I bring different people

If you buy two tickets, they will both be delivered to you via the mobile app, which you will use for entry. So, as long as your guest is with you at entry, it can be whoever.

You can buy up to four tickets.

How successful is the Diamondbacks' Summer Pass Program? ($50 total for all home games in June and July) In 24 hours, they sold 1500 tickets
