Louisville men's basketball made some noise during the transfer portal, landing Flory Bidunga and Jackson Shelstad. Their tremendous offseason continues, as a top high school junior is accelerating his timeline in order to play for the Cardinals next season.

USA TODAY Sports reports that center Obinna Ekezie has reclassified to 2026 and committed to Pat Kelsey and Louisville.

"Coach Kelsey separated himself with his detailed plan for my development, specifically being able to play and develop at both the 4 and 5," Ekezie said.

The Cardinals beat out Maryland, Kentucky, Arkansas and BYU for Ekezie's services. Ekezie's father played for the Terrapins in the 1990s, which led some to believe Maryland had the upper hand.

Ekezie averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks at Southeastern Prep Academy this past season.
