It's June, so you know exactly what fans of the National Football League do this time of year- overanalyze Organized Team Activities! Every year, we see a rookie making highlight reel plays at OTAs, and the video footage goes crazy viral. This year, it's all about Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate, as he's making sweet music in Nashville.
And it's not just that he's torching defenders and turning heads; he's also building cohesion with the #1 overall pick in 2025, Titans quarterback Cam Ward.
This is crucial, because we just might be watching the development of a young, budding superstar pitch-and-catch combination.
As Ward and Tate continue to build chemistry and trust with one another, they might just be on the cusp of turning the fortunes of the offense (and perhaps the team itself) around.
You can see elite level concentration and top notch body control in the way that Tate makes these one-handed grabs. It's also worth noting that Ohio State is truly "Wide Receiver U." as they produce more top flight receivers than any other school.
There is just something in the water, in Columbus in the wide receiver room. Obviously, it's way too early to tell if Tate will be the next in this long, illustrious line.
However, he certainly looks the part so far.
