The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their first-round matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles this week, but other teams are beginning their search for their next head coaches.
Among those teams is the Arizona Cardinals, who fired Jonathan Gannon on Monday after three seasons and a 15-36 record.
Arizona will be looking at several candidates, including 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. According to the MMQB's Albert Breer, the 49ers have requested permission to interview Saleh for the opening.
