The San Francisco 49ers are in the middle of a re-tool of the roster coming off a 6-11 season that saw the team finish last in the West and miss the playoffs.
There are lots of positions to replace after significant losses in free agency and trades.
General manager John Lynch was reported to target defense in this draft, and he's done just that through the first four picks.
Let's take a look at the team's picks as you follow along with the All49ers draft tracker:
Round 1 | No. 11 | Mykel Williams, DL, Georgia
Williams posted three seasons at Georgia and has been one of their top contributors on one of college football's best defenses. He was named Freshman All-American and SEC All-American in 2022 and Second-Team All-SEC in 2023 and 2024.
Williams has totaled 67 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss and 14 sacks overall in college.
Round 2 | No. 43 | Alfred Collins, DL, Texas
Collins was an anchor for the Texas Longhorns' defense for five seasons. He was a Second-Team All-American in 2024 and an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2023.
For his collegiate career, he's tallied 142 tackles with 18 for loss and 7.5 sacks in 63 games with 26 starts.
Round 3 | No. 75 | Nick Martin, DL, Oklahoma State
Martin became a standout defensive lineman for the Cowboys, earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors in 2023 with 140 tackles, the most at Oklahoma State in almost 40 years. He added 16 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble in 16 starts.
Round 3 | No. 100 | Upton Stout, CB, Western Kentucky
Considered a playmaking DB his entire career, Stout earned All-Conference USA honors in 2024 after recording 52 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and an interception across 12 starts.
In five total seasons, Stout totaled 166 tackles, six interceptions, 21 pass breakups and one forced fumble.
Round 3 | No. 113 | CJ West, DT, Indiana
West played collegiately for five seasons split between Kent State and Indiana. He's appeared in 52 games with 46 starts, tallying 152 tackles with 27 for loss, nine sacks, two forced fumbles and two passes defended.
Round 4 | No. 138 | Jordan Watkins, WR, Mississippi
Watkins led the Rebels with nine touchdowns through the air in 2024, with 49 catches and 908 yards with an average per catch of 18.5 yards.
Round 5 | No. 147 | Jordan James, RB, Oregon
James was Second-Team All-Big 10 Conference, leading the team with 1,267 rushing yards in 2024 on 233 carries for an average of 5.4. yards. He started all 14 games for the Ducks and scored 15 touchdowns.
