BYU added arguably the biggest piece to its 2027 recruiting class as 4-star edge Uhila Wolfgramm announced his commitment to BYU Thursday morning. Wolfgramm had BYU in his final two with Oklahoma.

After losing two in-state targets to Oklahoma, BYU was able to win the recruiting battle over the Sooners and land one of the best edges in the 2027 class. The Maple Mountain HS (Spanish Fork, UT) product is BYU’s highest rated recruit in the 2027 class and second 4-Star commit after WR Blake Wong committed to BYU last week. In addition to BYU and OU, Wolfgramm also had offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Utah, UCLA, Stanford, North Carolina, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Arizona State, Purdue, Kansas State, Iowa State, and several others.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds, Wolfgramm is a strong and powerful defender who has great balance for his size. He is a versatile defender and could potentially play in the interior of the defensive line depending on how much weight he puts on. Regardless, Wolfgramm projects to be corner stone piece in the future on BYU’s defensive line and someone who can get to the quarterback and be strong in the run game.
