Christian Pulisic remains questionable for Friday's USMNT World Cup match against Australia, with the superstar's left calf injury continuing to be an issue. He was on a modified training schedule this week leading up to the contest, but there is a chance we could see him play either off the bench or as a starter. We'll see soon enough.

But if he can't play? Who will take his place? Obviously, there's no truly replacing a talent like Pulisic, but maybe there's a player who can make an impact.

Here's a list of the possible replacements who USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino can call on to replace Pulisic if he can't play on Friday:

Tim Weah

You may recall the son of George Weah scored against Wales in 2022, and while he usually plays on the right side, he could slot in on the left with ease. This feels like a solid option.

Gio Reyna

The young Reyna scored an unreal goal against Paraguay and announced his wife's pregnancy with his celebration. Given his play in the last World Cup game, could he be a name who could jump right in even though it may require some lineup adjustments for Pochettino?

Haji Wright

He didn't play in the first game, but maybe he's the kind of player who could push hard on offense.

Alejandro Zendejas

Don't be surprised if you see him replace Pulisic. Other experts noted that he could be an offensive weapon in this game.
