Jim Mora landed in Northern Colorado to snow falling and soon after was touring a white blanketed Canvas Stadium.
"It's awesome. It's beautiful," Mora said of the stadium in a video posted on social media by the Colorado State football program.
Mora and his family arrived the night of Nov. 30 as he takes over the Rams after being hired from UConn. It was his first time on campus during this hiring process, with interviews taking place elsewhere during CSU's search.
The Rams announced Mora as their new coach on Nov. 26. He will be introduced publicly to the CSU fan base in a 3 p.m. press conference Dec. 1 at Canvas Stadium.
CSU's video of Mora's Canvas Stadium tour showed him walking on the field, taking a picture of the scoreboard with an announcement of his hire to send his parents and admiring some of the Ram helmets of the past.
"Really, really impressive," Mora said during the stadium tour. CSU athletic director John Weber told the Coloradoan that the on-campus stadium was one of the pieces that attracted Mora to the job. UConn's stadium is about 25 miles from campus.
"I don't know what else you could ask for. Let's go win games, right?" Mora said.
He's now officially on the job.
