Lauren Bell gets tearful with family as England book T20 World Cup final spot
England fast bowler Lauren Bell couldn't hold back her emotions after helping seal a place in the Women's T20 World Cup final.
After a 40-run victory over South Africa, the cameras followed Bell, and they captured the fast bowler sharing a raw and tender moment with her family in the stands.
Bell led England's bowling attack and finished with figures of 2 for 28, removing both Sune Luus and Ayabonga Khaka to help keep South Africa well short of their target.
However, it was captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, who had been battling a calf problem, who lit up The Oval on Thursday.
She struck 75 from just 47 balls on her comeback and weaved a partnership of 133 from 90 deliveries along with Heather Knight that completely transformed the complexion of the match.
The duo inspired the Lionesses to a competitive total of 169 after a top-order collapse that saw the side slump to 23 for three inside the fourth over.

Bell: 'Really special to get the win'
When the final over was bowled and the celebrations began, Bell raced to the boundary to embrace her family in the stands. And speaking after the match, she explained just how much that moment meant to her.
"Yeah, it was my family. I think they're my biggest supporters, so it's just nice to share that moment and then, I guess, the win today with them. And yeah, just getting excited for Sunday," she said.
"It's massive. I got a bit overwhelmed. I guess we've had a lot of tough times, I guess, as an England team over the last few years. So yeah, it was just really special to get them that win, maybe not too stressful for them. Um, yeah, just overwhelmed really."

Bell also couldn't hide her anticipation at the prospect of playing Australia in a World Cup final on English soil at Lord's.
"I mean, it's my first one and I was a kid in 2017, so it's been a while. So yeah, just excited," she said.
"The occasion couldn't get much bigger. Hopefully, it'll be a full, full home crowd. And um, yeah, I think it'll be an amazing day. It's why you play, it's the games you play for."
While England will head into Sunday with the odds tilted against them, the belief and the momentum are clearly with them.
After years of coming up short in big moments, this group has shown real growth when it mattered most. A first piece of silverware in eight years is now genuinely within reach.
